How did I heal from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and how this may help you ?
So this story dates back to my childhood. I ate a lunch at a family farm and got food poisoning. Now, if I look back to that time it feels like a journey of healing. It made me who I am today. A strong, empathetic and understanding human being. How did I heal my IBS ? My journey might help you so I thought I would write about it today. Firstly, starting with my symptoms, I experienced cramps in my intestines, bloating after food, irregular bowel movements in the morning. Following this, each day I would experience mood swings, inability to focus on daily tasks and anxiety and depression. So in this blog post I will explain to you how I dealt with my anxiety and depression. I needed to heal my gut. I started off by eating the right foods. Anti-inflammatory foods that would help my gut restore all the microbes to its original state. The state before I got my food poisoning. I did a breath test for SIBO. I did have excessive bacteria in my gut which causing havoc inside my system. My naturopath helped me heal from SIBO.
A human being is born with a dosha type or a combination of dosha types which is called prakruti and over time as life progresses and if the body goes out of balance it is called vikruti. So in order to balance these doshas and bring the body back into harmony it is best to massage the body with ayurvedic oils suited for your body type. I got to know my body type from an Ayurvedic practioner. I am a Pitta- Vata body type. So you can find out your body type by reaching out to an Ayurvedic doctor in your area. Massage your body every morning 30 min before a bath with a dosha type oil. 30 min is an ideal time as it is enough for the body to absorb the oils through the skin.
I have tried the Daily Massage Oil and the Pitta oil by Banyan botanicals. They lasted me 4-5 months after using them thrice a week.
